Vinicius Jr Issues Apology to The Madrid Club Supporters

Los Merengues attacker Vinicius Jr has said sorry to fans for his response when replaced in Sunday's heated El Clasico victory.

He was taken off in the 72nd min and showed his annoyance by going straight off the pitch.

He eventually reappeared to the bench and, after his side's 2-1 victory, sought to engage Barça's youngster Yamal during unsavoury after the game scenes.

"Now I want to apologise to all the Madridistas for my response when I was taken off in the Clasico," he shared on his account.

"Just as I have already done during the latest training, I also want to express regret anew to my colleagues, the club, and the president.

"Occasionally emotion gets the better of me because I continuously aim to win and help my side. My winning mentality originates in the affection I hold for this club and each thing it represents."

He joined Real from his former club in recent years for a significant fee and has accumulated over a century of strikes in numerous matches.

But his future in the Madrid is unclear with speculation in lately suggesting that the club would think about permitting the 25-year-old move on if they obtained a suitable offer.

When Vinicius was taken off on Sunday, broadcast footage from broadcaster the platform recorded him stating: "It's always me! I'm leaving the team! It's wiser if I leave, I'm leaving."

In his new statement on the platform, the athlete commented: "I vow to keep striving at all times for the welfare of the club, as I have done since the first day."
