Two Men Formally Indicted for Inmate Homicide of Lostprophets Singer Ian Watkins

Two individuals now face murder charges following the jailhouse death of one-time Lostprophets vocalist and convicted child sex offender Ian Watkins.

Samuel Dodsworth, 43, and Rashid Gedel, 25 now face murder accusations and will appear before Leeds magistrates’ court on Monday morning, according to police authorities.

Watkins, forty-eight, was in the midst of a 29-year prison term at HMP Wakefield, with a further six years to be served on licence, after admitting a string of sex offences including the effort to sexually assault an infant.

Watkins was apprehended subsequent to a drugs warrant at his Pontypridd home on 21 September 2012, when a substantial collection of electronic devices including computers, phones and drives were taken as evidence.
